TabTrade.com - Is It Worth Opening an Account
TabTrade - The Short Version
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that range is broad.
The Software
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
FIX API is offered for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
Here is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You fund your account, they credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
